Gerry Lopez first surfed Uluwatu in 1974. The fabled Balinese wave was pristine, magical and empty. Gerry returned to Uluwatu 40 years later to find it has completely changed. He was shocked to see the environment is endangered by tourism and illegal development. His message is simple: Help protect a place that surfers have long come to in search of perfect waves and Balinese culture.
